Update #6: Adding To Their Number Daily
Here is the latest from the team:
As a team we’ve unanimously agreed that the only explanation for the great things we’ve seen this week is our prayer partners praying for us diligently back home. I don’t believe in coincidences anymore, I believe in the provision and providence of God!
I don’t know that I can adequately explain the great things God has allowed us to see this week. What I can say is that we have new family members!
Today my team spent the day on the college campus prayer-walking. We even had the privilege of sharing the gospel with multiple students of all ages. The gospel was shared! We won’t know for sure until follow up happens but we believe that one of the students trusted in Christ!
We had a small team to meet up with some LZ friends that we met yesterday. From what I understand they spent the day going pretty primitive with the locals. After they did a little exploring with their friends the group was invited into a home to share a meal on a mountainside somewhere in the country. The group shared the truth with this people over a meal and multiple people were added to the number. This all started from bumping into someone while walking down the street. As a team member just said, “That whole chain of events was crazy and just didn’t make sense. But it worked out!” That’s just like God isn’t it?
I’ve got chills as I write this! I mean why would God allow us to be a part of this? Simply put, not because we’re great but because He’s great!
-Believers will plug into a local community for discipleship and spiritual growth.
-Believers will begin to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with their own people!
-Believers will fall in love with the Bible and study it. Pray also that they will hold to it and not be swayed by heresy.
-The team will finish strong. Up to this point there has not been any tourism. Thursday is the last full day in Joe City and then they get to rest a bit and recount everything that God has done so that they can celebrate it and pass along all of the information to the next team that leaves in less than a month!
-Health, safety, and energy as they are tired.
“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47“For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations.” Malachi 1:11
